Here are two more of the larger islands. The only big parts left are the wealthy district and the palace. Everything else should be pretty quick. I’m going to draw the farms and a couple other smaller parts next, like the admiralty base (marked “Navy” above) and the barracks.
Also, there’s a little island to the left of the shipyards and I haven’t decided what I want to do with it yet. I’m thinking there might be flooded tunnels running underneath it, but I’m not sure. If you’ve got any ideas, let me know.
Anyway, I’m gonna get back to it. Let me know what you think so far!
Billions to build ships
How about a goblin couple living in a haphazardly restored ruin, bossing a crew of tiny folks (Jermlain, Pictsies, ?) running a tiny shipyard that makes tiny ships out of scavenged scraps from the main shipyard.
Nobles occasionally buy these as toys for their kids but their main clients are actually fae who can use these ships to sail through the many realms of the multiverse.
These folks are actually really rich, well equipped, and powerful but live the goblin life for cultural reasons. The locals think the shipyard workers think of them as mascots and protect them for that reason, and some of them do, but the owner is actually terrified of them after an unfortunate incident with her firstborn a few decades ago.
Plus a weird aquatic dungeon under the ruins as a little treat.
A tiny spelljammer shipyard would be pretty wild, for sure.
I am imagining the player’s faces when their full-sized ocean ship is attacked by tiny pirates, who just happen to have the magic oomph to be a serious threat.
Bonus points if they visited the tiny shipyard a few games before.
Triple bonus points if one of them bought a tiny ship on a hunch/whim, threw it in the portable hole, and then uses it to bribe the tiny pirates.
